Domaine Huber-Verdereau has been founded by
Thiébault HUBER in 1994, but originates from the 19 th century,
when family Verdereau began to grow wine on the estate in Volnay.
  iébault’s
grandfather, Raoul VERDEREAU, strongly
developed the estate from 1928 to 1976, before sharing his properties
between his two daughters.
 iébault’s
parents, Monsieur et Madame Huber, inherited
about three hectares, which they rented out until 1994, being neither
winegrowers nor living in Burgundy !
Their son, Thiébault Huber, the present manager, studied
all about the hotel business and the art of being a sommelier
at the famous Hotel Catering School in STRASBOURG. In 1990, he
choosed to take over the family estate, training three years long
at the Wine School of BEAUNE, and with his cousin, winegrower Jean-Marc
BOULEY.
Then he was ready to create the Domaine HUBER-VERDEREAU, and harvested
the first time in 1994.

with 2.9 hectares, Thiébault HUBER now runs 6.5
hectares, … and looks for expanding his land and range of
appellations
In
biological culture since 2001, Thiébault applies from now
on the biodynamy to all the Field 2005 and enters an official certification,
controlled by Ecocert.
